The power of prayer πŸ”«

What up what up studs,

From my last email we found out I got a new companion. πŸ₯³ My new comp is Elder Acosta, he's from Peru. Hes 23 and has 21 months in the mish. He's about 1-2 inches taller than my sister Vanessa (she's very short) he's barely 5' 2". Literally if we were about to get robbed here, all I would have to do is hold his hand and they would think "man we can't rob this man and his son" haha.

I hit 7 months a few days ago so that’s super hype.

This week was pretty slow because of transfers, but yesterday we had once (a small dinner) with a family we are starting to teach. And then we started to teach them a little about prayer. They live barely outside of town along a river. After reading a few scriptures their dogs started to bark. The dad whipped out a pistol and said "hay ladrones" There are robbers.

He went out the back door, his son went out the front with this huge spotlight. After two warning shots about five minutes later they came back inside and sat down. The dad said "where were we" and we started to read the Book of Mormon and talk about the power of prayer.

Prayer is very important. God wants to hear what we have to say to him, and if we need help. But if we don't ask him for help he's not gonna help us. If we don't ask for miracles or blessings we aren't going to get them. I invite all of you to pray, and if you already do, pray more sincerely. God wants to know what YOU need. He wants to help YOU. For those of you who find yourself saying the same words every prayer you give, change it up. It's a conversation with God, not a shopping list. In the name of Jesus Christ amen.
